This is what the bathroom looked like before we moved in. Sad, sad looking little room.

The picture on the left is of the old vanity and flooring...the one on the right, the old tub and tub surround. When we moved in, we replaced the vanity, the flooring, and the tub surround. We also added some "cheery" paint to the walls, which I loved and Jeff has tolerated for the past 5 years.

The picture on the left shows the beautiful paint job that my mom and I did (it felt like it took ages!) and the picture on the right shows the new vanity and the new floor.
For the past 5 years, we've been using the old toilet and tub. The tub is really not very nice at all...the enamel is all gone from the bottom so it's not smooth and it absorbs color, which means that it's a lovely shade of grey-brown. We've been living with it because neither of us are big in to bathing, but now to bathe Cole in the icky brown tub is just...well, icky.
So, we have bought a brand new white tub, and have chosen some really pretty grey-brown-mauve colored tile to use instead of a tub surround. I am hopefully going to pick up the tile tomorrow and Jeff is going to get started on the project this weekend! Yay! We are going to pick out paint color and a shower curtain later...for now the walls will stay blue.
I am so excited to have a new bathroom! Now to find somewhere to shower in the meantime...
